About the Client

ALX Developments is the public identity of Alexandria Company for Investment & Urban Development, an Egyptian joint-stock company established in 2010. The company is an investment arm affiliated with the Ministry of Public Business Sector and was founded by a group of public-sector organizations that includes El Nasr Housing & Development. ALX operates from headquarters in Nasr City and Smouha, with project activity across Alexandria and the North Coast. Its mandate spans real estate investment and development, residential and commercial destinations, touristic compounds and hotels, urban projects, economic studies, industrial buildings, and other development activities. This diversified role creates demanding requirements for governance, traceability, financial control, legal administration, customer servicing, and management reporting. Before the transformation, ALX depended on local software, Excel files, and paper-based processes across its departments. The organization needed one governed operating platform capable of connecting customer, property, project, financial, procurement, asset, legal, document, employee, and investor information while preserving twelve years of historical records.

ERP Solution Delivered

Archer implemented a governed Odoo platform for ALX, replacing departmental software, spreadsheets and paper records across real estate, finance, developer-side projects and administration. Sales, customer accounts and After Sales connect with contracting, purchasing, inventory, assets, cost information and accounting, while legal, document, HR and investor workflows share the same environment. Call-centre, attendance-device, WhatsApp and Investors Portal integrations tie external interactions to operational records. To preserve twelve years of customer obligations, Archer used direct database access and data-cleansing techniques to reconstruct and validate payment plans, property, project and financial history that was difficult to extract from the prior tools. Teams can use that history for statements, account-status reviews and management reporting. The implementation reached go-live in July 2026 on Odoo.sh.

Implementation Approach

Archer Solutions delivered ALX Developments’ transformation from January 2025 to July 2026. The program combined company-wide process analysis, Odoo.sh architecture, broad workflow configuration and development, historical-data recovery, integration delivery, cross-department validation, and controlled deployment. Particular attention was given to preserving twelve years of customer, payment, property, project, and financial history while aligning ALX’s governed public-sector operating model across commercial, engineering/project, financial, legal, administrative, HR, and investor-facing functions.

01 Assessed the local applications, Excel files, paper records, departmental workflows, reporting requirements, and governance needs across ALX’s participating functions.
02 Designed the Odoo 18 on Odoo.sh architecture and connected operating model for real estate, accounting, After Sales, projects, procurement, inventory, assets, legal affairs, documents, HR, and investor services.
03 Configured and developed the required workflows and integrations, including the call centre, attendance devices, WhatsApp, and Investors Portal.
04 Used database-access and data-cleansing techniques to recognise, reconstruct, validate, and migrate twelve years of payment, customer, property, project, and financial information.
05 Conducted cross-department testing, data validation, user preparation, issue resolution, and controlled release across the participating operational areas.
06 Reached completed operation in July 2026 with the historical records and connected business processes available inside one governed environment.
